Dr. Roland Kouble BDS MFDSRCS MFGDP (UK) PGDip (Ednodontology) Forensic Odontologist & Dental Surgeon

Dr Kouble is a dental surgeon in UK and also registered on Jersey. He obtained his dental qualification, BDS, from Sheffield University in 1998 and then obtained a further qualification (MFDSRCS Eng.) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002 after working as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery. He is currently a partner in a Dental Practice in Sheffield providing general dental treatment. Following a Post-Graduate Diploma in Endodontics he has also provided an Endodontic referral service for the past 15 years both in Sheffield, Manchester (SimplyEndo) and Jersey.

He has 20 years of experience in Forensic Odontology and has published several papers, lectured on forensic dentistry both nationally and internationally and recently contributed to a Forensic Dental textbook – authoring a chapter on bite mark analysis.

He has completed a PhD in Forensic Odontology specifically focusing on bite mark analysis and is listed as an expert witness with the National Crime Agency database. His workload involves identifying post-mortem human remains, analysing bite mark injuries (human and dog bites), assessing facial injuries and age estimation from the teeth.

He has given evidence in numerous cases in the Family Courts as a single joint expert and acted for both defence and prosecution as an expert witness in the Crown Court in the UK.
